OMG! Classic horror film lovers will really enjoy this one as it packs a M. Night-type swerve!

Mirek did an amazing job of breaking down her PSYCHO sequel steals. Unbelievably, she also stole the PSYCHO plot off the NYTimes site. But...wait for it...she stole the plot synopsis from Gus Van Sant's remake. How meta! (Yes, she couldn't be bothered to write up an original synopsis for one of the greatest horror films of all time!)

Her:

PSYCHO is about an adulterous woman named Marion Crane (Janet Leigh) who steals a stack of money from her boss and hits the road, hoping for financial freedom with her new lover, Sam Loomis (John Gavin). Pulling over into an old motel for the night, Crane meets the innocent and seemingly lonley owner of the Bates Motel, Norman Bates (Anthony Perkins), who lives with his nagging, aged mother. However, Crane doesn't make it out of the hotel alive; she is brutally stabbed while bathing in the shower (in the most recognizable, prolific, and over-analyzed scene in film history). Norman quickly sinks the money, the car, and Crane's body in a nearby swamp in order to cover up his mother's tracks. As a detective and Marion's sister Lila (Vera Miles) come looking for her, they begin to uncover the dark mysterious secret lurking in Norman Bates' motel.

NYTimes:

Psycho was and still is the story of Marion Crane (previously played by Janet Leigh and now by Anne Heche), an adulterous woman who steals a stack of money from her boss and hits the road hoping for financial freedom. Pulling over in an old motel for the night, she meets the creepy owner of the Bates Motel, Norman Bates (Vince Vaughn doing his best Anthony Perkins), who lives with his jealous nagging mother. Most people know the film Psycho for what happens next -- the shower scene, where Marion is brutally stabbed in the most over-analyzed scene in movie history. The money, the car, and Marion's remains are quickly sunk in a nearby swamp. As a detective (William H. Macy) and Marion's sister Lila (Julianne Moore) come looking for her, they begin to uncover the dark mysterious secret lurking in Norman Bates' life.
