That may have ben true for me also, but I have the impression unlike Jeneatte McDonald/Nelson Eddy, her movies were not there for me to avoid.. Or rarely broadcast. I paid attention to those Movies on TV book  ratings and saw hers were usually highy rated (I would rad the whole book and become familiar with some movies I never actually saw). So I would have checked out at least one even though the kind of movies they were didn't thrill me.

I did see several months back a clip with her in It Started With Eve and there is no question she had an unaffected singing style unlike so many classic trained singers.
