There was mention on the previous page of STAR WARS' origins in FLASH GORDON.  I remember Lucas being interviewed in the Seventies saying he wanted to make FLASH GORDON after AMERICAN GRAFFITI but couldn't get the rights and had to come up with his own space opera.  Imagine how different things would have been had he gotten FLASH GORDON back then.

Super 8 is one of my favorite films of the last decade. I think it's wonderful.
