Does that really have a following that Shout! opted to pay for that over anything else?I've been a little puzzled by the relatively high level of fan interest in this title (more on other boards than here), given its dreary reputation. (I've never seen it myself.) Maybe Shout was interested in releasing the MST3K version, and decided to give it an "unaltered" release as well? Also, keep in mind that Shout doesn't have access to all MGM titles; some are tied up with TGG. I can think of a dozen more worthy AIP titles. I think the actual melting-man image has become iconic of 70's drive-in sleaze, but it's a pretty weak film. Is it supposed to be funny? I can't imagine anyone not laughing at the severed head making it's way downstream.
