I think you're a member of a very small club. There will naturally be a Burton-esque feel because it was directed by Henry Selick who directed THE NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS, even though most people think Burton directed that.

It's clear from the vast amount of deleted scenes that extensive changes were made to the story in post-production, but sadly the film still fails dismally to work. Which is a shame.
