Thanks for your kind comments, Clark. "The Thunder Child" is still a thriving web magazine with lots of wonderful articles for you to read. As for "Red Hot Planet," I'm very much afraid that it died some years ago. Sad because, among other reasons, it was a terrific place to go to for anything related to science fiction, fantasy, and horror. Bill George, its editor, seemed to have boundless enthusiasm for the website in the beginning but, as time wore on, I think that the time constraints and pressures of adding new content on a fairly frenetic basis, took its toll on him. I did quite a bit of writing for "Red Hot Planet," contributing feature length essays on the lives of Boris Karloff, Lon Chaney, Sr., Bela Lugosi, Orson Welles, and screen composer Miklos Rozsa. Some of these articles, as I owned the rights to my work have, thankfully, returned to cyber space courtesy of "The Thunder Child." They have received more permanent positioning in their new home, along with fresh and original layouts and graphics, thanks to this ever vital web journal.
