My Recent Posts
I'm not what you call a big time fan,so all the little deviations that CapnDunsel pointed out didn't even cross my mind I guess. I have most of the movies and have watched them many of times,and grew up on the original tv show, I also was a regular viewer of Next Generation and Voyager.
I will give you the whole Spock/Uhura thing. That was the one thing that did seem out of line to me,and I still shake my head over it. But other than that,I was fine with what Abrams presented to me. At least he put emphasis on characterization in that movie,which a lot of special effects extraviganzas fail miserably at in hollywood today. There are plenty of examples there in the "dumbed down" category.
I could never write a book about Star Trek,but I know I can have fun watching the movies.
