Thanks very much, Wich2.
I found it interesting when I learned about the hypocrisy of a sound-guy, who gets fully paid as a sound-guy, on "Big Brother", and who is regularly and blusteringly smug on the subject of payments to anyone, meaning any artists other than himself. And is smug, in this regard, on one of the most popular "screenwriting" sites, since he fancies himself a "writer".
He's made his living on reality TV "grunt" payments, meaning IATSE payments. He could not afford to live in LA or NY without those payments.
Yet this boofhead scoffs, and is scornful at the idea of any production-designer, any storyboard artist, getting paid to work for him, which benefits him. For his so-called short films.
He says they are "lucky he paid attention to them". When he, for most of his career, has been little more than a boom-mic operator. When he would not have had the money to make his derivative short-films without getting the payment he arrogantly denies his fellow artists (I think he only has 2 shorts made, after 15 years in hollywood milking IATSE Paychecks)
in the voice of the late Heath Ledger, I say to this twerp:
"Ha ha.
ho ho.
hee hee,
why so narcissistically and hypocritically serious about yourself, beeeeee-atch?"
