A friend of mine has been on SAG and AFTRA boards for years. During a break in one big negotiating session, he heard the reps from the Production side gassing on in the halls about the bloodsucking actors. He called them on their b.s.:

"What do you guys think the actual percentage of most production budgets that goes to the Talent is?"

They hemmed and hawed, and guessed at something around 75% of total.

They were a bit nonplussed when my friend showed them the documentation proving that that number was, to put it charitably, just about inverted (in the vast majority of cases.)
