David, I think it's great that you love what you do. That's always the best thing and I think those who enjoy their work are truly lucky. In my case, I hate what I do.. but the thing is, I never knew what I wanted to do. I always liked watching movies and listening to music, but I didn't want to be an actor, a director, or writer, or musician. These days I think I'd just be happy if I'd owned a used record store or something (provided I could make a decent living at that).

But at 51, I'm actually kind of content now to just finish my job, retire in like 10 to 12 years, and then I'm DONE. I really am hoping that retirement means RETIREMENT; most men these days have to keep working a "retirement job" AFTER they've retired, just to make ends meet. I love living in New York, but I may have to move somewhere more affordable after retirement, just so I can make it on my modest pension and 401K and personal savings (after I start to save, that is! ) .
