Zorro has not done especially well in America comic books. Zorro did not appear in new American comic book stories in the 1970's or much of the 1980's. As I recall, the first long running monthly American Zorro comic book occurs with the tie-in to the New World Zorro. It lasted about a year. Later attempts have similarly petered out. Zorro as a franchise has jumped across numerous comic book publishers.

In any event, you did not infer that the reference to Thor (2011) as a comic book film had to do with the presence of Nick Fury and Clint Barton (Hawkeye) in that film, who obviously did not debut in the Norse legends but in Sergeant Fury and the Howling Commandos and Tales of Suspense, respectively.
