I had (optimistically) hoped the 50th anniversary of the original GODZILLA might have seen a special edition DVD that had both the U.S. and Japanese original editions of the film, especially since select cities were running the original film theatrically to mark the event. I've lost count of how many companies have put GODZILLA KING OF THE MONSTERS to DVD...Classic Media, GoodTimes...seems like I've seen at least one more out there (Simitar, perhaps?)

I guess rumors of a double feature DVD of FRANKENSTEIN CONQUERS THE WORLD/WAR OF THE GARGANTUAS were just wishful thinking on someone's part, based on the information above. On the positive side, we do get both Toho KING KONG films on DVD today, and I believe I read ATRAGON is due on DVD in December.
