Unfortunately, there still -- to my knowledge -- isn't a really good version of my favorite kaiju, RODAN, on R1 DVD.
The Classic Media disc isn't too bad. The R2 is nicer, though still not flawless.

Why, GODZILLA 2000, of course!

Yep, you did a great job on the G 2000 cut (I'm assuming you're Mike Schlesinger). Great commentary, too! An excellent disc.

I'm curious, Mike - did Sony give any serious thought to releasing Final Wars to theaters? It's so funky and outrageous I'm thinkin' it might have done well.

My list of WHERE THE HECK ARE THEY? picks:

MOTHRA
GHIDRAH, THE THREE-HEADED MONSTER
FRANKENSTEIN CONQUERS THE WORLD
WAR OF THE GARGANTUAS
GODZILLA VS. BIOLLANTE
Mothra is still owned by Sony (via Columbia/Tristar). They struck a new print for showing at one of the latest film festivals, so hopefully a disc will be forthcoming... eventually... maybe (!).

Ghidrah: TTHM and Gargantuas are supposedly due from Classic Media next year sometime (Summer?). I've read CM passed on renewing their rights to F.stein CtW which run out in the latter half of '06, so hopefully Media Blasters will scoop 'em up and put out a nice disc. We'll see.

Biollante is still owned by Miramax. No word on a forthcoming disc.
