The Munsters coverage wasn't meant to tie-in with the new series, per se. But the fact that Universal was considering revisiting one of my favorite shows was enough of an excuse for me to dedicate some hefty real estate to giving the original series some comprehensive coverage. Plus, the idea of a monster family and a spooky house seemed quite Halloween. The final deciding factor was that every time I sat down with Kevin Burns he would absolutely mesmerize me with his Munster stories. From his relationships with the cast members to the behind-the-scenes stories that I had never heard or read anywhere else, I really thought they needed to be documented and shared. If the show flies, great. There's a source on the newsstands where curiosity seekers can play catch-up. If not, there are still legions of Munsters fans that enjoy revisiting something so time-tested and may find something new to enjoy. Either way, I'm happy we got to delve so deep into something that was such a prime part of my childhood. Plus, we got a Gogos cover. You don't say no to a Gogos cover. Ever.
