Finally watched this for the first time. Have to say I liked it, although at times March's performance as Hyde seems to anticipate  Jerry Lewis. But otherwise an uncanny portrayal, and he was certainly the most athletic monster of the class of '31. I also really liked that early POV tracking shot, which was unexpected (to me at least) from a film of that vintage, and seems like it probably required a significant amount of behind the camera logistics to pull off (even with cuts). Quite a lot of action in the second half, some nice fight scenes and stunts. It's been so long since I say the Spencer Tracy version, I'd have a hard time comparing.
