Source, please.

Green Lantern (2011) may have produced this impression, but obviously The Avengers may have overturned such a view.

Frankly, I don't think audiences are burned out on any movie that is truly made well.  If you make a great and entertaining film audiences will embrace it.

Saying that people are burned out is largely just an excuse.  If they are burned out, it's because they keep going to the theater but aren't getting what they hoped to see!

I think the over the top bashing of Green Lantern proves my point.  I loved it, the rest of the world hated it before they even saw it.  Same with the Superman reboot.  John Carter is another we can probably add to that list, really good movie, never had a chance, dead before it even hit the screen. --waits for the "John Carter was not a comic book movie" strawman--

Unless you make an incredibly good superhero movie you are going to fail at this point.  And sorry there is no way they can get Justice League right in one shot and I don't see them going the whole Avengers route with a gradual build up of films.

They are simply going to keep going back to the Batman cash cow.  He is the only DC hero that seems to have staying power as far as films are concerned.
