I'd wanted to see The Maltese Bippy when it came out (come on, Julie Newmar and Carol Lynley?) but finally caught it on TCM the other day. All I can say is it certainly tried hard to be funny. It seemed clearly patterned after the Road movies, even having the same director as the last one (Road to Hong Kong) but Rowan and Martin were not Hope and Crosby, who even nearing senior citizenship still had the panache and style to make it all work.

Carol and Julie sure looked great though.
