Quote:
boy I miss the sixties

You know, sometimes when I read about all the great flicks at the drive-in during the Fifties, I always think how cool that must have been. But, looking back on being a little fella in the Sixties, we had some pretty neat stuff, too. (Especially when you think of all the genre fare that was on the tube, along with the U.S. space program aiming at a lunar landing. It was like science and science fiction were in competition with one another.) And don't get me started on those toy robots, rockets and other genre-related playthings in the Christmas catalogs or under the Christmas tree! When I look at the toy departments today, or browse through the (decreasing number of) Christmas catalogs of recent years, I feel sorry for the kids. Most of their playtime seems to be sitting around pushing buttons, rather than sprawled out on the floor with TOYS.
