Well, I'm sure someone's going to scream at me and call me spoiled for saying this, but I watched Ghidrah (and a bit of Ghidorah for comparison) last night and found the transfer lacking when projected.

It's not the source print itself (which indeed looks to be the same on both versions and isn't bad), it's just that there're tons of artifacts, ringing, and something about the anamorphic enhancement seems off - lots of aliasing and smaller faces looking out of focus when they shouldn't. This was the same on both versions and on two different players.

Maybe these things aren't so noticable on smaller images. I haven't watched ZERO yet, and I didn't see these problems on the Japanese version of VS. MOTHRA.

I still am glad to have these discs and support CM for releasing them at bargain prices and with beautiful packaging, but I feel they've slipped up on the quality, whether it's the cropped version of G VS THE THING, the somewhat washed out version of the US GODZILLA, the problems with interlacing on RAIDS AGAIN (mine was OK actually), and now this.

Anyone else notice this who projects?
