I like all this series, including the last one that Keye Luke stars in. One of my favorite series actually. I have them only on various PD collections, but was wondering if I should try to get the collected films in one set....doesn't VCI have one out? How is that if anyone has it?

I have the VCI edition.  The 6 films are split onto two discs, and each disc has an assortment of non-related "extras" such as a chapter of a serial, Frankenstein trailers, and a couple of cartoons (VCI used some sort of scratch-removal program on the Popeye cartoon - hands and feet disappear when characters move too quickly).

But anyway, the films look pretty good to my eye.  My only "caveat" - and this is a matter of opinion - is that the credits for the last two films have been "restored" by taking paused images of each screen, then artificially fading them to approximate the original credits.  I presume this was dome to present a clean image, but to me it doesn't flow the same and I would have preferred the originals, even if they weren't pristine.

Wow, that all read kinda negative.  I don't know if this is considered better or worse than others out there, but for the money I'm happy with it.
