Deliberately paced, perhaps, but never dull. A magnificent cast featuring Dustin Hoffman and Alan Rickman back up newcomer Ben Whisham as the obsessed lunatic, and the look of this film is astonishing. The story is quite amoral, which I enjoyed. The protagonist is insane, and we follow his short life from birth to death.

It certainly doesn't have the break-neck pacing of Tom Tykwer's most popular film, RUN, LOLA, RUN. Very few car chases and slo-mo shoot outs. In fact, none at all. It does end up in surprisingly outre fantasy territory, though.
