Audition is one of the great horror films of the last 10 years. It also may be Miike's best film. The "slow burn" is not for all but if you like that structure (think Schrader or Peckinpah) then I think you will enjoy it.

The rightfully notorious ending is very powerful. However, it would not be at all effective without the build-up, which is the true strength of the film.

It is definitly a film that splits audiences into the "love it" or "hate it" camps. Which will hopefully make for an interesting thread.
