I've heard it's... rough. The only Takashi Miike film I've seen is DOA (I'd heard one of his "milder" ones), and it was too rough for me. I've heard his Ichi the Killer is completely and totally over the top in regards to gore and violence. DOA was extremely well made, however. I can certainly see why he's got a following.

Oh, I also bought his recent Great Yokai War on R3 DVD which is fun (if unremarkable). Absolutely gorgeous disc; one of the best I've got.
