I've said it before and I'll say it again, now to mark his passing:
IT CAME FROM OUTER SPACE is for me the best film realization of Ray Bradbury's voice and ideas.
Despite the claims of Harry Essex in his interview with Tom Weaver, it's clear to me the essence of the picture and much of the dialogue is Bradbury's.

Somehow I never knew until reading an obituary that his father had once been a lineman! Makes the whole "wind in the wires" scene all the more personal and meaningful.
