I gotta agree with some of the earlier posts that point out the edgier aspects of this movie. There are some dark undercurrents in this movie that aren't in other Hammer productions. I always thought "Kiss of The Vampire" was a great companion piece to "Brides of Dracula" because they both implicitly link vampirism with sexual excess. Baron Meinster is a sort of lost boy who falls in with a bad element and therefore becomes a creature of the night. In "Kiss of The Vampire", Isobel Black's character represents the female flipside with her involvement with the vampire cult. Both are libertines who sought out the darkside and became part of it, unlike other characters in the Dracula series, who are essentially taken against their will.
