To me, the best thing about BRIDES OF DRACULA is Freda Jackson's insane cackling. It still raises the goosebumps after all these years.

I agree with David that the middle bogs down a bit... but what really gets between BRIDES and greatness, for me, is Yvonne Monlaur, who I don't find charismatic enough to make the insipid heroine Marianne more interesting than she is written. My apologies to the lady and her fans, but I don't see how she could get the female lead in a movie also featuring Andrée Melly and Marie Devereux -- not to mention Mona Washbourne, whose scenes lend the "boring bits" some much needed warmth and charm.
