I guess I wasn't bothered too much by Frankenstein's flipping out over the ring as he did. Of course, the scene was a little ham-handed, but I thought it made sense in the narrative structure - The whole reason the doctor was risking going back to his old homestead, where he'd been chased from, was so he could hock all his belongings to finance his experiments. He then arrived and found everything had been stolen. When he saw that the burgomaster, the same man who'd ruined his work years before, was wearing his ring, he realized WHO had taken all his belongings and, once again, destroyed any prospect of starting from scratch. So, in essence, he wasn't flipping out over the ring itself, but at the overall devastation the burgomaster had caused him.
I liked this movie, and would like to see Curse and Horror, but they're not at my local Best Buy. I assume they're on DVD? Is there a website that sells Hammer DVDs?

Best wishes,
