I finally watched this one last night. I was expecting a terrible performance from Kiwi, but actually found that for what he did, he did well. He also couldn't pull off too much, what with having a concrete black affixed to his head and all.

I also was trying to figure out why they had Frankenstein losing it over the ring. It would have been better had he been reserved about it, and then gone after the Burgomaster at home, and then again in a way that was what Cushing had always done Frankenstein as, somewhat "understated" and "cunning".

I liked the sets a whole bunch, and the mute girl was pretty good. I was hoping for more of a bond between her and the monster though, but that may have been "too Universal" for the studios at the time.

All in all, much better than I was expecting, but still my least favorite of the series.
