From what I can tell, Rob Craig's "thing" is to take oldtime zero-talent monstuh moviemakers and make 'em sound like messiahs who inserted brilliant sociological messages into their movies to enlighten "the wretched refuse" of monstuh movie fandom. My grip on reality and sanity isn't yet loose enough to derive anything from books like this. Now a tree-killin' book about Jerry Warren's holy mission and the lessons he wanted to share with the world. Isn't that cute.
