borisandbelarule wrote Raymond Burr, in explaining to the knuckleheaded American general what Godzilla is all about, wraps up his history lesson by saying, "And, just for the record, 30 years ago they never found a corpse." Of course they didn't! He was vaporized, wasn't he?___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ borchabob wrote I know I'm chimming in a little late here, but I just recently recieved my Godzilla 1985 dvd. I also felt that line was odd.In the film Gojira, Takashi Shimura's character Dr. Yamane says " I can't believe that Godzilla was the only surviving member of its species...But if we keep on conducting nuclear tests, it's possible that another Godzilla might appear...some where in the World again. This scene was unfortunatly cut from the American version, which might explain that line in the 1985 film.I am also one of those people who like the mean Godzilla. I've only collected Gojira and the Godzilla 1985 dvd's. The other films, even as a kid, always seemed silly to me. I never could get into them.
