"I believe todmichel is talking about a composite version where missing dialogue scenes are added to the re-cut, such as where Prof. Van Helsing and Juan Harker discuss Lucy's death at the conclusion of the staking scene.
I toyed with the idea of cutting in missing dialogue scenes using hard-coded English subtitles, but it was a bit distracting to have the English-speaking and Spanish-speaking actors switching back and forth between scenes. I agree with todmichel that it would give us a better idea of what Browning intended, but I decided to go with something more along the lines of the re-cut of Touch of Evil."
In fact, I just suggested it as an alternate composite version to get an idea of the probable state of the movie before Universal's cuts. Incidentally, the DVD of the German version of THE LAUREL-HARDY MURDER CASE uses portions of the US version, for their "reconstruction", as the print found in Moscow archives was missing some sequences. As a result, the detective is played by two different actors, and the English-speaking scenes are subtitled in German.
