Here's to the priceless 10%, which exists in the same quantity that it has for millenia! Neither divine fiat, act of Congress, nor solar storm, has recently altered the level of God-given talent latent in the human race.

And there are so many genres/disciplines/eras to pick as a personal bailiwick:

The guy who knows all about Conrad Veidt, probably doesn't know as much about Tiger Woods; the one who loves Bach, may know nothing about Stephen Hawking; the Simpsons maven might not care at all about Richard Burbage.

That's what makes an interesting world with interesting people, and thinking "my Interest is Bigger than yours!" is navel-gazing that misses much of it's beauty.
