"The 'Roan' clocks in with a running time of 1: 06: 52, while the 'Screen Edge' runs for 1: 04: 37."

Sounds like a  possible PAL to NTSC transfer.

(1/23)

Now having had a chance to view the SE version, I can say that the audio really  is "High Fidelity" compared to the Roan version.

The Beaumont / Silver conversation appears to be uncut and the overall audio is very clear, unfiltered  and has a very good dynamic range.
There is a small audio dropout in the opening titles on the SE version and yes, the end titles have the final chord restored to the audio track.

Footsteps, the clinking of glassware and the ambient sounds of nature are much more noticable.

The SE video itself is fair at best.  In comparison to the versions from Roan and Triton,

Not so much a "vaseline on the lens" look, but a couple of generations downward in quality compared to the others.

There are splice marks and some damage, but at different points than the Roan print. (The Triton version seems to be a copy of the Roan)

It is also not as dark as other copies of WHITE ZOMBIE.

Some clever soul will merge the SE audio with the Roan picture and we will really have a restored version of WHITE ZOMBIE to enjoy.
