" I can think of quite a few Universal Horrors I would personally prioritize over the Spanish version of Dracula ..."

This will probably be included as an extra once again with the Lugosi version.

Hearing the unfiltered hiss on the DRACULA soundtrack is ok by me,
FWIW, I could do without another round of Phillip Glass this time.

"I am reminded of how the restored dialog from Frankenstein had to be tricked in...
Others were paid from its private usage, for this restoration, as it was
understood Universal would not have bothered dealing with a third party.
Otherwise, this restoration would still be 'lost'..."

??????

The FRANKENSTEIN dialog and end title music was restored from elements from the BFI.

Let's just hope the films are treated as well by Universal as they would be from a third party (ie: Criterion).
With all the back and forth that's currently going on regarding the Blu ray of Chaney's PHANTOM,
They need to treat this project with the care these classic films deserve.
