Wha--?

Hermie Cohen's films reflect the producer's influence and tastes far more than any given director involved. A chance good one, like Gene Fowler, could make a silk purse out of a teenage sow's ear; a lousy one just did what Herman told him and stuck to schedule. The exception is A STUDY IN TERROR, and that existed before (and after) Herman Cohen's co-financing. Other than TEENAGE WEREWOLF, I don't think Herman Cohen can be accused and convicted of ever making a "good" film... though it'd be interesting to see what he would have done with Terence Fisher directing.
