Thank you for the link! I just read the complete article and generally agreed with the writer. Some scenes in LEOPARD MAN are faithful to Irish's "atmosphere", perticularly Theresa Delgado's demise - so you can call it a "reasonably" faithful, althought the story itself is different.
It's always strange to see how Woolrich/Irish is (generally) underestimated in his own country, when he is considered as a genius in others. In France, all his short stories and novels are available everywhere, having been constantly reprinted since WW2. I discovered him when I was 15 - his novel "Deadline at Dawn" - and I'm 71 and never changed my mind about his literary genius. Do you know that Jean Cocteau called him "the XXth Century's Edgar Poe"?
