Don't know if the 1930 re-issue (again, released February, 1930 in the States) was released to non-English speaking countries. Universal's policy at that time was to prepare a silent foreign print with music and effects track, which is where the theory that the print from George Eastman House was prepared for such a market (but obviously wasn't done if that was the case, since the negative was VERY clean and was in LA rather than Europe).
