She was apparently a big classic horror fan and formed a lifelong friendship with Hefner based on this common interest; instead of partying in the Mansion, she spent most of her time going through his collection of Universal horror flicks on celluloid, and admit it, most of us would do the same thing if given the opportunity to visit the place. Once she re-entered the public eye upon learning of the massive following she had, she started showing up at many conventions not just as a guest but an enthusiastic fan herself; there's a picture of her with Bela Jr. floating around and she looks even more delighted than him to have their photo taken together. It's always a tragedy whenever someone leaves us so young, but at least her last years were spent being loved, doing what she loved, and being reminded that she had brought so much happiness to so many others.
