David Edelstein, here, here!

Aside from some neat encapsulated history of the film,
or a clever anecdote what I want most is someone to
share in my enthusiasm for seeing the film. Get me stoked
for seeing it. You don't have to be over the top , just
another one of us with really good media skills. Look natural
and genuinely have that sense of, man are you gonna get a kick out
of this one. Can be more subdued to suit the film as needs.

I like the host concept, always have and commend TCM for keeping it up.
I wouldn't mind seen some hosting of the graveyard shift flicks, too.
Be neat to check out that disc of some obscure film you recorded
at 2:00 am to find someone touting the reason why you have to see
this Sterling Hayden western where he's got a harpoon or check out
this rare British horror film that gives Val Lewton a real run for his money.
