GPO, the numbers aren't monetary; they're percentages of based on average business, overall, in said cities — 100(%) being average. It says, right at the top of the page:

This chart records the performance of current attractions in the opening week of their first runs in the 20 key cities checked. Pictures with fewer than five engagements are not listed. As new runs are reported, ratings are added and averages revised. Computation is in terms of percentage in relation to normal grosses as determined by the theater managers. With 100 per cent as “normal,” the figures show the gross rating above or below that mark (Asterisk * denotes combination bills.)
Hrmph... I misread that. My eyes gravitated towards the numbers and I assumed they were monetary values. It didn't make sense because the numbers from all the cities didn't add up to the number on the far right of the chart. I see now it was percentage via the average business of the film.

Its too bad they didn't post actual gross numbers. It would be interesting to see what the gross for that film was.

Perhaps Baradagi can dig up those numbers you are looking for, if he has them, and has the time.
