It would also help if you guys could help me dig up contemporaneous artifacts (like Variety ads, FAMOUS MONSTERS/MONSTER TIMES articles, movie reviews, and newsreels or mentions on TV, if any), library cues used in the film, interviews with the US cast and crew and any behind the scenes materials for the John Beck version.

. . . for trade ads and articles.

Studio paperwork attributes all the music to "Byron Ross"; I'm guessing he ran a library music service.  David Schechter is probably the ultimate expert in that area.  One cue can be found on the recently-released MONSTER THAT CHALLENGED THE WORLD soundtrack CD; others can probably be found on the out-of-print CD CREATURE FROM THE BLACK LAGOON: A SYMPHONY OF FILM MUSIC BY HANS J. SALTAR.
