Wells was not a big fan of sadism, this I believe was a concern with the film, most of his
novels were more philosophic than 'nuts and bolts' science, leaving the reader to digest the
inferences of the writer's view of the world. This is great to read, The Man Who Could
Work Miracles, the endgame, and other 'science fiction' tales allowing for different views
of the English social structure.
