Regarding CROCODILE's many different incarnations, I suppose two main edits were created, one being the Thai version and the other being the international version. These two versions seem to have been edited from one complete workprint, kind of like the US theatrical and international versions of DAWN OF THE DEAD, which accounts for the unique parts of both versions. I suppose Sands (I can't spell his full name for the life of me) is the original director and that the film, whether we're referring to the international or Thai edit, is a new product, with occasional small bits of stock footage here and there. The question is whether the two different edits were made at the same time or if the international version was done later, what other film studios besides Chaiyo were involved, whether Tsuburaya Pro. was really involved (I'm having a hard time believing that for some reason), etc.
Also, I'm still not sure what year the film was made/released. It's is so poorly documented that it can only be described as being from circa 1978-1981.
Shriek Show should do a special edition of this. I love this sleazy epic so much I might even send them a letter about it.
