Hmmm... I was hoping that MGM might issue an MOD of Hammer's Hysteria (1965), as it's now the only one of their b&w 'psycho' thrillers still to have an official Dvd release.
MGM will never release HYSTERIA, I tell you, never!!!!

. . . because it's owned by Warner Bros., along with all the other pre-86 MGM releases.  So if it's released, it will be through the Warner Archives.

They seem to me to be odd selections to release since you can buy them anywhere and view them for free everywhere. I also don't understand why certain titles got an official release while others (say THE BLACK SLEEP) ended up going MOD when it would have been a much more logical selection for an official release. THE INCREDIBLE MELTING MAN is one I would have bought in a heartbeat five years ago but in that time I simply found other ways of viewing it.
MGM isn't releasing any library titles on "official" DVD these days, so anything unreleased, no matter how popular or unpopular, good or bad, is a potential MOD release.
