Just a few comments. BTW, thanks, Gorg!

The Caravelles, what a lovely couple of ladies.

Dojihatori: I am going to explore the collection of songs on Blip, because This Soul is not bad.

The Paris Sisters: they really have a way with retro stylings. They are fast becoming a fave.

Hollywood Nobody is somewhat interesting, I will definitely see what Blip has on them.

The Cascade song is very pleasant and nicely grooves.

A lot of these groups/tunes are of the sort I have described before -- the first listen, you feel like "well, that's pretty nice", and then after the 3rd or 4th listen, they kinda catch onto the neurons and you love them from that point on.

And, I don't claim to NOT have any of those in my playlist, but they are few and far between.

The sort of material I look for grabs you by the heart right away, and makes you want to listen again right away, like it makes you think "was that as good as I thought it was?".

Sometimes I let something on that fails that test, but I nearly always re-think it when I hear it in-set, and I furlough it permanently because it doesn't measure up.

Since this is in part about personal taste, you are welcome to disagree (perhaps irritatedly) with me, but I have to go with what I feel in the musical heart of me about the songs I audition. The tunes I have posted in this thread should testify to my dedication to my criterion.

Nevertheless, I realize and credit that musical appeal, like beauty, is in the ear, as opposed to eye, of the beholder.

Please do not stop suggesting groups/music you think I might like. I really appreciate the input as I am always looking for new things to blip.
