My brother Jim Goldrup and I personally interviewed forty feature players from the golden age of Hollywood (a few of these were with next-of-kin to deceased performers, but most with the actual actor or actress)for our Volume One of Feature Players: Stories Behind the Faces. This 325 page book includes photos and motion picture credits for those included. Intermingled amongst the experiences of those included is a history of the acting profession as seen and lived by these players, both on the screen and on the stage. Humorous and exciting stories that have gone on behind the lens of the camera of some of our favorite films and television shows, as well as interesting stories concerning some of the stars and directors of the industry as told by these forty players who have lived out their lives and dreams in Hollywood. Boyd Magers, publisher of Wrestern Clippings and author of several books concerning the motion picture industry, writes: "What sets this apart from all other books is the fact that these humorous, exciting stories are all based on personal interviews with the stars themselves. This is mandatory reading for of every film buff or film historian." The forty performers included in Volume One are:
