The original promotional short done for Jeff Wayne's musical version of WAR OF THE WORLDS (the concept albumwhich featured narration by Richard Burton) that blends several animation styles with live action. (For some reason the person who posted thisonline included the opening film leader, so be patient.) I remember going to a Peach's record store in Indianapolis in late '78, when the album first came out. They had this incredible illuminated fiberglass and plexiglass replica of one of the Martian war machinesbased on the album artthat towered over you as you came in the door. (Always wondered whatever happened to the thing.) A few years back, I stumbled across a new Super 8 stereo sound print of the promo from, if I recall, England's Derann Films. Looks gorgeous on the big screen; this YouTube post really doesn't do it justice, but it's rare so thought I would share.
