last night I watched FIGHTING TROUBLE, and I have to admit that I much prefer Stanley Clements over Leo Gorcey. Of course I have only watched a scattering of these films recently, and only those from 1952 upward. FIGHTING TROUBLE actually held my interest and I chuckled a few times...CRASHING LAS VEGAS, CLIPPED WINGS, and FEUDIN FOOLS were not easy to get through, for me.

Even as a kid I was not a big fan of the Bowery Boys films, but I wanted to catch some of them now as a few of my interviewees are in them, so I may not be a good judge of this series. For me it is all about the supporting cast...and I was thrilled to see William Boyett (late to  become Sgt. MacDonald on ADAM-12) as a hoodlum in FIGHTING TROUBLE.
