I'm probably just not a good expert at judging drunks, I've not had any in my associations.   I did notice Leo was extra loud and cranky in Crashing but I didn't see him staggering around.  He did lean a lot on the tables though.  Not that I'm saying he wasn't drunk, but if you hadn't told me I wouldn't have noticed.   Call me clueless.   

I also agree, I like Leo much better fat and comedic rather than lean and dramatic the way he was in his youth.  Give me a fat grouchy Leo and a dopey child-like Huntz over their old personas anytime.  This is why I like the "Bowery Boys" of the late '40's and '50's much more than the Dead End Kids, the Bowery Boys series was funny, laugh out loud funny.
