Sorry to jump in so late, but I've always been intrigued by this picture (despite never having seen it). I don't feel much affinity for the later Amicus stuff I have seen, so this title - aided by its bad distribution - was never one I felt inclined to seek out. With the advent of DVD, this is obviously a different story.

How does it compare to the other films in the Amicus canon? How about Hammers of the same era? I'm starting to warm to the idea of a purchase.
